An Exercise in Madness - Part 2
What followed was a comprehensive on-line interview: What will you be using the website for? Personal, Business, Sales, Service, Do you have your own images, What colors do you like, How many pages of content will you need, etc., etc., etc. I was quite impressed. Following the online interview, a rep made an appointment for the following week for a telephone interview with a member of the Dream Design Team. Impressive. And, not unlike the Cable Company, the appointment was made for "next Tuesday between the hours of 11 and 2".

An Exercise in Madness
I think GoDaddy is a fine company. However dealing with them to get a customized designed website was frustrating, to say the least. It started when a representative called to inform me that my subscription to their program "Website Tonight" was about to expire after a 3-year contract. In my sardonic manner I told them I would only consider resubscribing if they changed the name of the product to "Website Next Year - Maybe If You Spend Many, Many Frustrating Hours Trying to Navigate the Site". My sarcasm was not lost on the representative who agreed that it can be difficult for some customers. Yep, customers like me who had never built a website before. But then isn't that the market for this product? Anyway, like a trooper, the rep convinced me that I should buy a custom designed site available for a mere $999.00. I agreed.
